The CZ 750 S1 M1 7.62 mm sniper rifle.

The CZ 750 S1 M1 is a 7.62 mm sniper rifle used exclusively by Czech military forces in ArmA 2. It was added with the release of the Army of the Czech Republic DLC.

Overview[]

This is a premium asset that requires ownership of the Army of the Czech Republic DLC.

The CZ 750 S1 M1 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that is chambered to fire the 7.62×51 mm NATO round.

It primarily loads from 10-round box magazines designed specifically for the CZ 750 S1 M1, but can also feed from the 5-rounder magazines used by the American M24 and M40A3. It has a maximum fire rate of just 30 rounds per minute, with a muzzle velocity of 830 m/s. The CZ 750 S1 M1 is always fitted with a riflescope with a magnification strength of 3.5x-10x, along with an integrated (but non-functional) bipod. It cannot be suppressed or be fitted with laser pointers/flashlights.

The CZ 750 S1 M1 is essentially the Czech counterpart to the M40A3 sniper rifle used by the U.S. Marine Corps. The only difference with the CZ 750 is that it has slightly better accuracy (dispersion of 0.0001 radians versus the M24's 0.00012 radians). In all other aspects it is completely identical, with the scope even sharing the same reticle and magnification.

As a result, it also shares the same drawbacks of the M24/M40A3; namely that it is a bolt-action weapon which causes it to have a very slow rate of fire, and the inability to adjust the weapon's zeroing beyond 1,000 metres. Its only advantage over the former is its larger magazine that has 10 rounds versus the M24's/M40A3's 5-round box, though this doesn't compensate for its inherited drawbacks.

Optics[]

Arma2-cz750s1m1-ironsight-overview

The CZ 750 S1 M1 does not have an ironsights-only variant is always fitted with a low-powered riflescope. Its zeroing can be adjusted starting from a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 1,000 metres (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000). By default, it is set to a zeroing of 300 metres.

The scope itself uses a mil-dot reticle which can be used to estimate a target's range. Once the target's distance has been ascertained, adjust the CZ 750 S1 M1's zeroing to the required range setting and then point the centre of the crosshairs onto the target.

The CZ 750 S1 M1 support two types of magazines. They each require only one inventory slot to carry:

CZ750 mag.[]

Arma2-ammunition-10rndcz750s1m1

Standard 10-round box magazine loaded with 7.62 mm NATO ball ammunition.

None of the rounds fired will emit visible tracers.

5Rnd. M24[]

5-round box magazine shared with the M24.

Aside from its reduced capacity, it is completely identical performance-wise to standard 10-rounders.

Trivia[]

  • Until the release of the latest Steam version patches (CorePatch), the CZ 750 simply reused the same firing sound as the M24/M40A3. The latest updates fix the issue and grants the CZ 750 its own unique soundset.[1]
    • However, CorePatch also nerfed and slightly buffed the CZ 750 indirectly. Since the CZ 750's magazines inherit their properties from the M24's 5-rounder magazine, the CZ 750's muzzle velocity was also reduced from 900 m/s to 830 m/s. Likewise, the CZ 750's scope gained the zeroing limit buff from CorePatch which raised it from 800 m to 1000 m.[1]
