The Mk20 is NATO's outdated 5.56x45mm bullpup assault rifle used by the AAF.

Overview

The Mk20 is a modified version of the Belgian FN F2000 Tactical. It is a gas operated selective-fire assault rifle chambered for 5.56x45mm round. The Mk20 uses a unique ejection system, ejecting spent cartridges forward and to the right. This allows for ambidextrous operation of the rifle. There are two variants of the rifle, The standard Mk20 and the Mk20C being the compact model with a shortened barrel, there is also a Mk20 with a ELGM which features a 40mm grenade launcher. The Mk20 is standard issue for AAF and was used by NATO forces before they favorited the MX series.

The Mk20 comes in digital green camo and flat tan.

Trivia

  • The Mk20 was a standard issue rifle for British forces in the 2020's, used during Operation Magnitude in the early 2030's by members of British and US Special Forces within NATO.
  • The Mk20 series rifle was adopted by the AAF in 2031 after NATO's widespread adoption of the MX series. In the upcoming years of the 2030's, the AAF were using TRG 21's and experianced a number of malfunctions and the poor quality. They realised they needed new weaponry, so the AAF countered this by buying about 25,000 used Mk20's from the British Armed Forces and painted them in Aegean Digital Green. They discarded their TRG 21's where the FIA got ahold of them during the Altian Civil War.
