Orestes is a supporting character in 'The East Wind'. He is an AAF officer sympathizing with the FIA guerrillas. Orestes is first encountered during the mission "Common Enemy", where he is in charge of a small roadside checkpoint that the player's vehicle has to pass. After an obscure conversation with Stavrou, he allows the guerrilla group to pass. Eventually, Orestes becomes disgusted with CSAT forces present on the island and their actions and decides to defect to the FIA, taking some of his trusted subordinates and crucial infomation about CSAT logistics with him.
Trivia
- This character is never named, Orestes is merely a nickname (In Greek mythology, Orestes was the son of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, who famously avenges the murder of his father by slaying his own mother and her lover).
- Orestes is only seen in the missions "Common Enemy" and "Exit Strategy" Adapt of ArmA 3's campaign.
