The RPG-75NH is a 68 mm rocket launcher used by both Soviet military forces as well as in limited numbers with the Nogovan Partisans in ArmA: Cold War Assault.
Overview[]
The RPG-75NH is an unguided and reloadable, portable short-range rocket launcher.
It uses 68 mm rockets fitted with high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads and has a maximum range of up to 500 metres.
The RPG-75NH is the standard-issue anti-tank launcher carried by Soviet troops. Performance-wise, it is essentially identical to its American counterpart; both are short-ranged AT weapons, and are powerful enough to destroy unarmoured and lightly-armoured ground vehicles (e.g. Armoured Personnel Carriers) in a single hit.
However, just like the M72 LAW, medium armour vehicles like the M60 and T-55 Medium Tanks will require a minimum of two rockets to destroy. Heavier tanks such as the M1A1 will need even more rockets to disable, necessitating at least three direct hits to inflict any real damage. Therefore, it is better to use the larger AT-4 to tackle such threats instead of the RPG.

Munitions[]
The RPG-75NH can only be loaded with one type of rocket. It occupies two inventory slots:
Damage type | Base damage value |
---|---|
High-Explosive | 500 |
The rocket is always fired with an initial velocity of 30 m/s and only needs 0.2 seconds after launch to reach a maximum speed of 350 m/s in mid-flight. The warhead has a blast radius of 2.5 metres.
Trivia[]
- Like the M72 LAW, Cold War Assault's RPG-75NH is erroneously depicted as a reloadable weapon.
- In reality, the RPG-75NH is a Czech-made rocket launcher that was never used by the Soviet military.
- The "RPG-18 Mukha" (which makes an appearance in ArmA 2) would have been a more suitable counterpart to the M72 LAW, as unlike the RPG-75NH it was actually designed in the Soviet Union and was deployed en-masse with Soviet forces by the 1980s.
- Prior to Patch 1.10 for Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (the initial name of Cold War Assault before its re-release), the RPG-75NH's rockets were slower but could fly for almost twice as long. This was changed after the patch's release so that it rockets would attain maximum thrust 0.2 seconds after launch.[1]
